Aware of the needs for new paradigms, our aim has always
been to facilitate a "mentality change".
We have
been working towards it from the very start, back in 1994.
We offered
seminars
and workshops,
we brought specialists from abroad, we organized round-tables
with well-known local experts; we gave lectures, wrote
articles and published books.
Teaching a
specific training - such as conference interpreting - made us go
deeply into
the dynamization of cognitive
processes.
That, in turn, allows us to offer a similar kind of
training even to those who are not particularly interested in
becoming professional interpreters.
Throughout all these years we underscored certain risks mostly
derived from some of our own Argentine cultural habits.
At the beginnings of
2009, several invitations from
foreign universities enriched our academic experience
which we are now trying to convey to our local institutions.
It is here where the need of a true personal and cultural
transformation is more clearly perceived than ever.
Our tools and our objectives aim at this personal and cultural
transformation.
